- NFL Draft prospects

Caleb Williams is poised as the top draft pick, yet intrigue bubbles over the sequence in which Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels will be chosen.

Uncertainty looms whether another quarterback will be taken fourth or if it’s the moment for leading wide receivers like Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers to get picked.

Amidst such unpredictability at the draft's pinnacle, a fair bit of drama is anticipated in Detroit come Thursday night.

Here are ten NFL Draft odds to watch out for.

BROCK BOWERS UNDER 12.5 (-231)

As the premier tight end from Georgia, Bowers snagged 56 receptions for 714 yards and six touchdowns during his junior year. Despite the shaky history of first-round tight ends, nothing in Bowers’ performance hints he won't excel in the NFL. He's widely expected to be picked between the 9th and 11th slots, with a slim chance of falling to the 13th.

Though the odds are steep, Bowers has justified expectations to be drafted in the Top 12 Picks.

BYRON MURPHY II OVER 13.5 (+165)

Hailing from Texas, Murphy, an interior pass rusher, achieved 29 tackles and five sacks as a junior. His smaller stature for an NFL interior lineman might cause his draft position to slip. Opinions on his draft position vary widely, seen anywhere from eighth to 19th, sparking curiosity whether he'll last until the 14th pick.

J.J. MCCARTHY OVER 5.5 (+123)

Quarterbacking for the national champs, the Michigan Wolverines, McCarthy threw for 2,991 yards and 22 touchdowns. He could be drafted as soon as fourth, after Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and Drake Maye. If that’s where the quarterback selections end, betting on McCarthy to drop to at least the Giants at sixth offers good value.

BLAKE CORUM UNDER 82.5 (-130)

Last season, Corum, McCarthy’s teammate, rushed for 1,245 yards and 27 touchdowns. Although he’s a promising prospect, the trend is shifting away from using first-round picks on running backs. This could see Corum drafted in the second or third round, with the Dallas Cowboys potentially eyeing him for their evident need at running back, holding picks 56 and 87.

JOE ALT UNDER 7.5 (-395)

Alt, a massive tackle from Notre Dame, is commonly predicted to be snapped up by the Tennessee Titans at No. 7. Standing at 6-foot-9 and 321 pounds with agile feet, he's primed to start immediately at left tackle, representing considerable value. It seems improbable that Alt would drop past the Titans, and the odds reflect this likelihood.

QUINYON MITCHELL UNDER 15.5 (+113)

Despite playing at Toledo, Mitchell has grabbed NFL scouts' attention as a physically imposing corner with exceptional speed, clocking a 4.33 in his 40-yard dash. His impressive college performance and standout athleticism might easily secure him a spot within the top 15 picks.

BRIAN THOMAS JR. UNDER 19.5 (+135)

From LSU, the 6-foot-4 wide receiver, Thomas, broke out with 68 receptions for 1,177 yards and 17 touchdowns in his junior year. Known for his ability to stretch defenses, Thomas might attract teams within the top 20, eager for his big-play potential.

J.C. LATHAM OVER 14.5 (+149)

Alabama’s Latham, a formidable right tackle at 6-foot-6 and 342 pounds, uses his size to dominate on the field. Although he could well be chosen in the top 15, the odds are enticing for him to drop beyond this range, with a mock draft placing him at No. 30.

CHOP ROBINSON OVER 25.5 (+121)

Robinson, an edge rusher from Penn State, managed four sacks and ran a sub-4.5 40-yard dash at 6-foot-3, 254 pounds. His potential is likely to pique interest among NFL teams, with a realistic shot at being picked towards the late twenties.

MICHAEL PENIX JR. UNDER 32.5 (-236)

The Washington quarterback, known for his productivity but marred by injury concerns, has been projected as high as the 12th to the Patriots or 13th to the Raiders. It’s highly probable that he’ll be picked in the first round. The decision lies between betting on Penix’s draft position or opting for over four and a half quarterbacks in the first round, anticipating that Williams, Daniels, Maye, and McCarthy precede him, possibly joined by Oregon’s Bo Nix.
